He is being developed with a focus on jumping while demonstrating the movement, canter, athleticism and rideability that make his pedigree appealing to breeders producing modern sport horses for jumping, hunters and dressage.

Zapphire's buckskin color is one of the things that makes him unforgettable.

His tested color genetics are A/A E/e Cr/n nd1/nd2 W35/n. He carries one copy of the cream dilution gene, giving him a 50% chance of passing cream to each foal. The resulting foal color will depend on the mare's genetics.
